>>from the subways of the bronx to the streets of everywhere...

From its roots on the trains that ran throughout the subways of the new york boroughs, run down buildings in ghettos of the world, walls of suburbia, exhibitions throughout art galleries to advertising, shops, clothing, footwear.  Graffiti has proven itself as one of the most popular movements of its time and established its deserved place within the art community.
The idea of writers bloc came about from being graffiti artists in the eighties, youngsters tagging, bombing and hitting up anything and everything we could...as being youngsters anything and everything was fair game in our eyes, after all... the age old question every graffiti artist asks...is art a crime? no...but vandalism is! Back then graffiti was seen as anti-social, the public had not yet embraced the movement and did not appreciate the amount of talent, time and effort that went  into creating a mural using only materials they thought were only meant for respraying cars after a bit of D.I.Y body repair!
The movement from its roots has flourished...into an art movement appreciated by most in society, estabilished art gallerys like the Tate hold regular exhibitions by renowned graffiti artists pretty much anyone these days has heard of Banksy!
